“Your past does not have to define your future” is one of Ricot’s favourite lines, to him, it’s personal. Losing his mother when he was only two years old, and having to share everything with sixteen other siblings, in the poorest country of the western world pretty much sets the stage for a miserable future but… “The past does not define the future!”
Ricot holds a bachelor’s degree from Alberta Bible College and is the founder of Heart for Home Ministries in Haiti. This ministry planted three vibrant churches and is working on a transitional program to help young orphan Haitians to become independent and sustainable young adults. He loves to preach, lead worship, play basketball and TALK. Together with his wife Mandy, they have four children, Isabelle, Josiah, Taliah and Shamar.
